Language & Culture

“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language that goes to his heart.” (Nelson Mandela)

Whether cruising along the Upper Middle Rhine World Heritage Site, hiking through the Siebengebirge mountain range or strolling through the urban center of Cologne, our students gain practical experience with the German language and culture. Through living with host families, interacting with German students, or even extening their stay as an intern in a local organization or company, we encourage our students to apply their expanding German knowledge in everyday situations:

The “My Berlin” day

Today is a special day! We are sending you off to explore Berlin on your own! There are not many cities as vibrant, loud and extraordinary as Berlin. Today, it is your task to find out why – individually. We call it the ‘My Berlin Day’ as we want to find out how you perceive the city. It is about getting to know the historical, multicultural and artistic beauty and diversity of Berlin.
