GERMAN LANGUAGE & CULTURE SEMESTER PROGRAM

Guten Tag! Lesen Sie auch gerne Goethe? Are you pursuing a degree (major or minor) in German Language and Literature? Even if you are not up to Goethe-reading- level just yet, this fall semester program is for you! You will study German with a native speaker, at a level that fits to your previous knowledge and is still challenging.
A German Literature course where you will not only read and study German classics and modern texts but also see theater performances and go on site visits complements your language class. In addition, you can choose to enroll in a number of core curriculum classes, ranging from Art History and History to Ethics, Theology, and Intercultural Communication.
In order to "get you totally immersed", you will live with one of our carefully selected host families. Check out our housing video for a first hand account of what living with a host family is like. Or read these quotes by two participants in the fall 2009 program:

EXCURSIONS
The program includes two long excursions to cities such as Leipzig, Dresden, Weimar, and Berlin, as well as a number of day trips to destinations in the Rhineland area, including Aachen, Trier, and Cologne. We also make sure to incorporate several long weekends into the schedule so that you will be able to do some traveling on your own during the semester.
