HOW TO GET TO THE AIB - Directions from the Airport

COLOGNE BONN AIRPORT (CGN)

The easiest way from Cologne Bonn Airport to downtown Bonn is by bus. The Airport Express Bus SB60 runs up to 3 times per hour between Cologne Bonn Airport and Bonn Hauptbahnhof (Central Station). Services are less frequent on weekend but at least once per hour. The journey takes half an hour; a one-way ticket costs 6,30 EUR.

DÜSSELDORF AIRPORT (DUS)

Traveling from Düsseldorf Airport to Bonn Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) is uncomplicated too. Regional Express (RE) trains make the journey generally once per hour (.50) in about 65 minutes from Platform 4. A one-way ticket costs 14,80 EUR. Alternative options, mostly the Inter City (IC) or Inter City Express (ICE), are available at higher costs.

FRANKFURT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (FRA)

Although for travelers to Bonn, Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN) or Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) clearly are the best options, Frankfurt International Airport remains the most important international transit hub in Germany, Every two hours (.58), a direct Inter City (IC) train runs between Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) and Bonn Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) in just less than 2 hours from Platform 7. A one-way ticket is 36 €.
Alternatively travellers can take the highspeed Intercity Express (ICE) from the airport via Siegburg to Bonn. It departs every hour and takes 38 minutes to Siegburg.
